The Knicks take over 3rd seed with their 8th straight win
It’s seems there’s no stopping this dominating Knicks force.
Talk about the next man stepping up! The New York Knicks, with their power and small forwards out, haven’t missed a step. This New York powerhouse is a group of guys who dig down and bring up whatever is needed to get the win. It is incredible for basketball in New York.
And the Knicks have gotten right up there one game out of the second seed—one game.
JALEN BRUNSON AND JULIUS RANDLE ARE ALL-STARS
New York Knicks vs Utah Jazz
On Tuesday night, the New York Knicks defeated the Utah Jazz 118-103 without Julius Randle and O.G. Anunoby. Talk about lacing up boots. The starting lineup consisted of Jalen Brunson, the floor general who doesn’t care how often he gets hit in his face, Donte DiVincenzo, Isaiah Hartenstein, Josh Hart, and Precious Achiuwa.
Why did Collin Sexton poke the Brunson bear? Dude, Brunson does not get rattled. He was the wrong player to poke.
Six players were in double figures, including Quentin Grimes, who scored 12 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Brunson had 29 points and nine assists. Josh Hart had a triple-double of ten points, ten rebounds, and ten assists.
Precious Achiuwa joined the team through the OG Anunoby trade. Some thought he was just an add-on, but I’m happy they were wrong. A boogie-down Bronx native, Achiuwa is home and making a home for himself on the Knicks. Last night, he broke out with 18 points and five rebounds, shooting 61.5% from the field. Welcome home, young man!
Finally. Donte DiVincenzo. The Knicks have found their very own Klay Thompson-type sharpshooter in DiVincenzo. Since joining the Knicks, DiVincenzo has averaged 12.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. But the three-pointers…
Tuesday, he had a career night.
19 points in the first half - the first time in his career
He scored 25 plus points in back-to-back games - the first time in his career
Nine three-pointers in a game - career-high
In 273 games, he gets his first two 30-point games while a Knick.
